Celebration Of Womanliness In Lanvin Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 Collection(from millionlooks)

To tell you the truth it’s Paris Fashion Week that I usually expect the most because during it we can see such brands as Chanel, Christian Dior, Balmain, Nina Ricci and of course Lanvin showcasing their collections, collections which surprise or disappoint, but never let you indifferent. And it’s Lanvin Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 range that I’m going to speak about, the range that celebrated womanliness like no other fashion house before.

Lanvin has been celebrating their tenth anniversary this year and Alber Elbaz realized he just couldn’t create a collection that would pass unnoticed. He had to make people believe Lanvin was one of the best and he was one of the best – something he had to prove us within the last decade. And he did it. He made the range he could be proud of, the range that was both simple and chic, unusual but traditionally feminine.

It was all about women’s pieces in Lanvin Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection – dresses, skirts, blouses, coats, heeled shoes, super-long leather gloves, etc. No pants or even a hint at men’s fashion which has been so popular recently.

Dresses came adorned with plenty of crystals, trimmed with faux fur, finished with frills and pleats. The accent was made on curves – skirts wide at hips, and shoulders – luxurious strapless dresses teamed with statement necklaces.

The colors in Lanvin Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection were deep and saturated but ranged in the darker palette, but a few scarlet, purple and blue hues made the collection livelier and more cheerful.

Accessory line was fantastic, like always – large interesting cameo-shaped necklaces with huge stones in them and belts ornamented with lion’s head elements, bright leather gloves finished with sparkles and lovely evening clutches.
